A home where love opens new paths

Criança Feliz Village is a residential home for orphaned boys aged six and older who were living in social vulnerability, on the streets, or in other at-risk situations.

At the Village, the boys are welcomed with love, develop positive habits, attend school, take vocational courses, play sports, and discover skills that prepare them for life. At age 18, they are supported as they reintegrate into society.

The project’s Christian mission seeks to transform lives through God’s love, offering dignity, care, and hope.

An urgent response to child vulnerability

The situation of orphaned and at-risk children aged 6 to 18 in Angola calls for care, protection, and real opportunities.

Several factors leave children without a safe home and increase the number of boys living on the streets. An estimated 34,000 children live in shelters in Angola, with many between the ages of 12 and 15.

Causes of orphanhood in Angola

01The long civil war left children orphaned and created lasting social consequences.
02Extreme poverty prevents many families from providing the care children need.
03Serious diseases and epidemics weaken families and communities.
04Abuse and neglect can cause children to run away or be removed from their homes.
